Extreme One for Android: version 2.5.0 announced for phones and tablets
Extreme One for Android is getting a refreshed version for phones and tablets. In our announcement of 12 October we presented release 2.5.0: access to your saved fishing spots, sonar recordings and 3D models from the device you have with you.
One account on the transmitter, phone and tablet
Do you have scans saved on a Skydroid or RadioMaster AX12? Once they are uploaded to the cloud, you can log in to the same account on your phone or tablet and continue your analysis. You can browse 2D bathymetry, rotate the 3D model and show a friend a section of the lake bed without switching on the transmitter.
What the refreshed app includes
- Browsing saved sonar recordings and sharing selected scans.
- 2D bathymetric maps and 3D models built from fish finder data.
- Zasiadka Online chat and notifications about messages and replies to support tickets.
- Support for compatible fish finders, including Raymarine and Vexilar configurations on Android.
With a compatible fish finder, pontoon mode lets you create bathymetry using the phone’s GPS position. The available connection depends on the sonar model and your equipment. We develop the features together for phones, tablets and transmitters, with support matched to what each device can do.
This is an archive of the announcement from 12 October. We show the finished app and scan browsing in our next video. Updates for phones and tablets are distributed through Google Play.
Extreme One for Android: how to prepare your scans
Start with the device on which the recording was made. Open the library and check whether the selected sonar recording has been uploaded to the cloud. The fact that you can see the model on the transmitter does not yet mean that its data is available on a second device. Before a trip or a change of equipment, it is worth completing synchronisation over a stable internet connection. Keep the original recording on the device that captured it.
Extreme One for Android uses your account as the access point to synchronised material. On the phone, choose the same account you use on the transmitter. That way you analyse your own fishing spots and do not have to create a new library just because you want to view a scan on the bigger screen of a tablet. Before you start browsing, make sure the material you need has been downloaded.
From sonar recording to planning your next session
It is worth starting with the general layout of depths. Check where a shallower plateau ends, which way the bottom drops and whether the interesting spot lies next to a larger change in depth. Only then zoom in on the selected section. Moving from the whole lake to the details helps you understand the surroundings of the swim, instead of judging a single return without context.
Extreme One for Android lets you combine the convenience of a phone with data collected earlier on the water. While talking to a friend, you can show the model, rotate it and compare neighbouring parts of the fishery. It is still an analysis of a specific survey run. Colours make depths easier to read, and the map is always based on measurements taken by the fish finder and the positions assigned to them.
Fish finder app and equipment configuration
Browsing a previously saved scan and receiving a live signal are two different uses. For analysis you need the right recording. Live reception while the boat is moving additionally requires a compatible fish finder model and a suitable connection method. Before changing your setup, it is worth checking the specific configuration rather than assuming that every module works identically with a phone and a transmitter.
In the announcement we stressed that the system is developed as a whole. Extreme One for Android is meant to give consistent access to scans, messages and analysis tools, but hardware support depends on what the device can do. If you use a phone without an autopilot, the starting point is a compatible fish finder and the operating mode intended for it. Connection details are matched to the equipment you own.
What the date of this announcement means
This post preserves the information announced on 12 October 2026. The note about a release within the following days referred to that moment and to Google processing the release. It is not a message about waiting for the same version again. In the related presentation we already show the refreshed app and practical viewing of scans on a phone and tablet.
If you come back to this article later, compare the publication dates and descriptions of individual materials. Extreme One for Android continues to be developed, so the look of some buttons may change with updates. The most important principle presented in this post remains clear: you collect measurements on the water, save them to your account and analyse them whenever you have time.
